About the School of Natural Building in Cloughjordan

Picture
The School of Natural Building provides training in low-cost, low-impact building techniques in Clouhgjordan Eco-village. It is run in conjunction with Cultivate.

The main facilitator is Eileen Flanagan, a structural engineer and artist. She has many years experience as a professional engineer in the public and private sectors. In 2004 she trained in cob building with Ianto Evans at the Hollies in Cork. She and her husband then set about designing and building their own circular cob home in the eco-village. She wants to share her knowledge and experience and to facilitate people in building a beautiful home for themselves without getting into debt. She teaches permaculture, natural building and crafts. She loves cooking, languages, castles and historical costumes.
